What's that? You want more free?

Well heck yeah, let's talk about Alien Swarm. Some guys from Valve made a dungeon crawler 4 player game but instead of a dungeon it's a space colony and instead of shields, swords, and magic, you wield smart guns.  I'm pretty sure the only thing getting this game to be sued by the owner of the Alien franchise is that the game is freeware. 

So get over to Steam and get this.

From the Land of Stupid TF2 Settings

Namely the setting that was making my game skip and jump and stutter like a breakdancer on meth. Somehow the "Multicore Rendering" option on my video settings was in the ON position.  Now that's only for people with multicore video cards which, alas, my 7950 GT is not even close to being.

So when I turned that off, voila, everything's working again finally with no stutters or problems. Unfortunately, it doesn't help my gameplay.

Regardless, almost a year of struggling to figure that out and it was one stupid little click of a video setting.
